It welcomes hundreds of thousands of guests annually, helping them appreciate the history, regional diversity, and global impact of Scotch whisky.

Architectural highlights of the Scotch Whisky Experience

The Scotch Whisky Experience is housed in a Victorian building that was originally Castlehill School, constructed in the late 19th century in Scots Baronial style using red sandstone. While the exterior retains its historic character, the interior has been converted to feature whisky galleries, tasting spaces and restaurant areas, blending heritage architecture with contemporary design to enhance the visitor experience.

Part of the lower floors is occupied by the Amber Restaurant & Whisky Bar, offering Scottish cuisine and whisky pairings in a stylish setting that complements the attraction’s tasting experiences.
